To encourage conservation, water providers in the Saving Water Partnership are offering financial incentives for installing water-efficient fixtures, appliances and technologies in new construction and major remodels of commercial and multi-family (four or more units) buildings.

To qualify, projects must complete an application form and receive a subsequent authorization letter before any fixtures are installed.

Toilets and Urinals

• Rebates of $50 per high-efficiency toilet that uses 1.28 gallons per flush or less, including dual flush
• Rebates of $10 per tank toilet that meets FlushStar (pdf) performance criteria
• Rebates of $100 per high-efficiency urinal that uses 0.5 gallons per flush or less (applies to commercial buildings only)

Showerheads and Bathroom Aerators

• Free showerheads or $5 rebates per unit that uses 1.5 to 2.0 gallons per minute (gpm)
• Free bathroom faucet aerator nozzles or $2 rebates per unit that uses 1.0 gpm in multi-family buildings or 0.5 gpm in commercial buildings

Laundry Equipment

• Rebates of $100 for WashWise (pdf) washers in multifamily units
• Full rebates for WashWise machines in common areas of multifamily buildings if no in-unit hook-ups are provided
• Rebates of $300 per commercial laundry coin-op machine that is rated Tier 2 for efficiency

Real-time Monitoring of Water Use

• $250 for hooking up the main water meter to a building management system, which allows tracking of water consumption in real time.

Other Qualified Technologies

• $10 per gallon/day saved, subject to performance verification.
